XtraChêne Chips are used during the vinification and aging process or as a finishing touch prior to bottling.
XtraChêne Chips add complexity to wines. XtraChêne Chips are available in several toast levels. Each toast level and oak origin contribute a unique aromatic and gustative property, thus giving XtraChêne a product range of chips capable of meeting a large spectrum of customer requirements.

Origins
French oak: Sessile oak (Quercus petraea) and Pedunculate oak (Quercus robur).
American oak: White oak (Quercus alba).
Seasoning
French oak is naturally open air-seasoned for a minimum of two years.
American oak is naturally open air-seasoned for a minimum of three years.

The following convection toast levels are available :
French oak :
- Plain, Light, Medium or Medium plus
American oak :
- Plain, Light, medium or Medium plus
