XtraChêne Xoakers are oak spheres that are perfect for restoring the aromatic and gustative properties of a neutral barrel.
They are ideal when seeking to combine different oak origins (French or American) and toast levels (Medium or Medium Plus) in the same barrel. Easy-to-use, Xoakers are added to the barrel through the bunghole and then rolled back out during barrel washing.

Origins
French oak: Sessile oak (Quercus petraea) and Pedunculate oak (Quercus robur).
Amercian oak: White oak (Quercus alba).
Seasoning
French oak is naturally open air-seasoned for a minimum of two years.
American oak is naturally open air-seasoned for a minimun of three years.
